The PAS 2035: 2019 Retrofitting dwellings for improved energy efficiency instructs that you must have achieved your sector-relevant NVQ, or be enrolled, by January 2021.

The NVQ Level 2 Certificate is an ideal course for those individuals who are involved in carrying out insulation (or associated treatments) to buildings – whether that be across internal or external surfaces or structures.

This qualification is intended for individuals who are employed in the construction industry in jobs involving installing insulation to buildings or carrying out remedial building maintenance work. The qualification is relevant for those employed in either the public or private sectors and they could form the basis of further development towards higher qualification levels.

Course Duration:
One-day induction and then self-paced – The learning and portfolio completion depends on the individual learner. It is expected that a learner completes a portfolio within 3-4 weeks of the class at a regular pace.

This vocational qualification allows you to gain certified evidence of your competency to install the above measures under PAS-2035 (Retrofit Frame Work).

The interactive learning content will either give you the knowledge to allow you to gain practical skills or help you revisit some of the core principles of installing insulation & building treatments.

Entry Requirements:

There are no formal entry requirements to take this qualification. This qualification can be undertaken without any previous training or qualifications in this subject area; however, we do require at least 3 years of experience in the trade.

How is the qualification delivered?

You will follow an induction process with your assessor, who will guide you through the process how to complete your training. This qualification is delivered through City & Guilds, which will be completed through our e-portfolio system. This means that you will be able to complete most of your portfolio through the comfort of your own house/office.
